I have a 2020 Domane SL5 with Mechanical 105. Don't think as ISOspeed as off-road suspension, it's not. It basically helps smooth out vibrations from rough pavement. It helps with compliance but it won't soak up rough gravel like a suspension fork. It will give the Domane a nice smoother ride on roads that may not be too fun on a stiff racing bike.. The new Domane is everything great about the old bike, plus lighter and quicker. The Takeaway: Trek's best road bike gets faster, lighter, quicker, and better. Weight: 19.7lb. (SL 5) to 16 lb.
